but at what cost? I am pleased he is going to be on the grid next year, I like Jenson, he is a good, honest, nice bloke. But, he's sold his soul to keep that seat. Lets be honest any of us would far rather play second fiddle at Maclaren than be dragging around the back of the grid being top driver in a Marussia. But its still sad. Although not as sad as him not being there

I always thought that Alonso/Button would be the team for 2015/16 given Jenson's work with Honda years back.

I feel gutted for Manusson, but his time will come. He is still part of the team and he will be one for the future.

I completely agree, I think Alonson/Button are a far, far stronger team and really pleased Maclaren recognised that. BUT, I still think Button is employed as a number 2 driver, which is something Magnusson's management probably wouldn't agree this early in his career.

I just hope when he gets a second bite at the cherry, it tastes weeter than poor Grosjean's did
