Sorry Shell, only just seen this.
I have been reading similar things all over the place.
Everybody admits that something needs to be done, but Nikki Lauda got it right when he said that if you asked one hundred people (on the inside of the sport) you would get one hundred different answers. There are different views within all the Empires - FIA, FOCA, GPDC - and none of them want to let go of any kind of influence they have.
The fans are almost as bad. Some want to up the tech, some want to remove bits or lots of it. Everyone has a different heyday and they all want to get back to it.
The whole thing is a pantomime.
