Bernie and Ron

I see that Bernie is to step down as F1 supremo during his trial in Germany for bribery. It could well be the end anyway given his age.

And Ron Dennis has taken back control of McLaren, with the good money saying that, after his sabbatical, Ross Brawn will eventually take over from Martin Whitmarsh.

I personally think that Ron never really let go of McLaren and that his continued influence was a thorn in Whitmarsh's side.

I think Bernie will try and spin it as being blackmailed rather than paying a bribe. I think as far as running F1 goes he's done a good job; but he's had a good bat and it's time to let someone else have a go.
