Search Party wanted

Postby cruiser2 » 09 Dec 2020, 11:47

We have lost a green tin nine inches square and two inches deep. We put the plastic suckers which hold the lights to the windows. We had it last year
but connpt find it now. Have looked in every cupboard and drawer and in the loft but cannot find it. Have had to buy some more from Wilko.
A friend has also mislaid the outdoor lights so has had to buy another set. Probably find them on Christmas day.

Have you tried the shed.... you must have a shed. You're a man, it's the law.

It's in the garage, Cruiser. Right at the back, left hand side, the box at the bottom. Always is! :D

Much more organised here. All our boxes are numbered. The Christmas Box is Number 4 so it's easily identifiable. The tree, however, is a bit more problematic. It's stored in a black bin liner. So I grabbed the nearest one and brought it in with the Number 4 Box.
"Why have you brought in a roll of carpet offcuts?" asked a bemused Mrs O, 30 minutes later ....

OK, I'll bite!

Why would anyone be keeping bag of carpet off-cuts? :?:

A long-term and no doubt ill-fated project to turn them into doormats .....

Plus we come from the "waste not, want not" era, which might be more probably described as "let's fill up the garage with useless junk we can't get in the household rubbish bin" ....

It’ll be in the last place you look Cruiser.

While the search party’s out, can you look for my sellotape please. I bought a pack of five rolls last year and there’s no way we’ve used all five in a year, but they’re not in the stationary box where I left them.

So it's not just me.

All the stuff from Wilko's I got in the January sale has disappeared, either that or it is shielding till the pandemic is over.
