Peter Lorimer, that is.

We used to have a kick about on King Alfred's field at the back of St John Boscoe and St Thomas Aquinas school on the way home, jumpers for goalposts. Him, Edide Gray, Jonesey, Clarkey, Cooper, Reaney....They were all in digs in the Carr Manors and would meet up for a lark with the lads.

When we played St Kevs in the Leeds Schools Cup at Elland Road they turned up to support us. RIP Peter and rip that heavenly net, you hot shot you....

Fascinating, WM, he certainly was a skilful midfielder. I'm sure I would have seen him play live for Leeds back in the day.

The crowd used to sing "Ninety miles an hour!" about his shot.
