Oh, and Gareth Southgate reminds me of that kid at school who’d happily run to the teachers to tell tales. Every school had one. Bet he was a prefect.

I see it went to penalties. Always a cruel way to lose a match, but there you go. Hopefully we'll now be spared the worst of the furore from the media ......
