I am enjoying it, but oh my, there are some pretty uneven games to be had, and the score lines!!!
I like both codes, but I prefer to attend League and watch Union on TV.

Too much of this Rugby World Cup is far too predictable, I'm afraid.

It is, sadly.
Rugby has two major tournaments, the Six Nations and the SH Rugby Championship. It needs something like the Europa League or Copa América in football so that teams like Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Russia, Georgia, Romania and so on can play competetive games in a meaningful league.
Maybe the winners could then take the place of the bottom teams in the Six Nations and Rugby Championship so that there is a constant turnover of 'best' teams.
I am sure that something can be worked out.

Portugal beat Fiji!
I would never have seen that one coming.
Good game too. Two evenly matched teams playing running rugby.
I was impressed with the Portuguese right winger, he could shift a bit!

I would just like to observe that some of the prop forwards in this tournament have heads shaped like coal buckets.

Two good games yesterday, and very close, and IMO, they both turned on the kicking.
Had Fiji's kickers been at the same level as Farrell, %wise, they could have had 9 or 12 more points. I am not saying they would have won, but England would have had to work harder.
Then South Africa's Pollard's 55m penalty from his own half hurt France and changed their game. It's one thing to give away penalties in your own half, but to give them away in your opponent's half and then get well punished is something else - demoralising.

Mick just realised - the referee for the final used to ref for Old Richians when he was a lad! Bit of a meteoric rise
