Referees

Did any of you watch the Copa final last night?

I left the room in disgust half way through.

If you think the refs are bad in England, that ref last night was a disgrace. Obvioulsy and blatantly biased - very poor indeed.

And such a shame that Athletico felt they had to sythe the Real players down all the time - when they wanted to, they could actually play quite well. But all they wanted to do was to get as many fouls in as they could.

I didn't watch this, but read a write up about it and it sounded shocking. I believe even Mourinho was sent off! Surely there is some kind of code of behaviour for referees which states that they must not show bias.

It was quite blantant Rodo :o

When an Athletico player took the legs off a Real player - normally from behind - he ignored it.When a Real player did similar, he was booked. When a Real player argued, he was booked. When an Athletico player did the same, nowt, zilch, nada.

Really shocking, the whole thing. Only occasionally did we see some football - from both sides - mostly, as soon as a Real player had the ball, he was surrounded by at least 2 Athletico players. So at least their manager got his tactics right!

I did see that Ronaldo got sent off, which is unusual. Real also hit the post three times; so it sounds like they were unlucky all round.

There's a rumour that Mourinho will be bringing Ronaldo to Chelsea.

I know it's not fashionable to like Joey Barton, but when he described Thiago of Paris St Germain as "An overweight ladyboy" I had to smile!

Actually, he's well thought of over here and in Spain - don't believe all the media stuff.

But yes, he is still a prima donna
