Ruud van Nistelroy is interim manager but who will take over permanently is anybody's guess.

There was an extremely funny spoof on Ten Hag doing the rounds over the weekend that I very nearly reposted here, but I didn't want to offend Jo's sensibilities.
I'm sure I saw it on Facebook somewhere but I can't find it now ....

A to Z. Ancelottii to Zidane are all in there - apparently. V for Victor might have a chance The door is open,
A lot of the 'possibles' or 'potentials' are already on long contracts, so prising them away to a lower mid-table team might be difficult - and costly. And none of them has any EPL experience.
Strange times.

I would do it for the same salary as ten Hag.
My system would be that you never pass the ball back and get into the oponents penalty area as many times as possible.
THat is how you score goals and win games.

Rúben Amorim is apparently taking over. Hadn’t even heard of him until it was mentioned that we’d agreed to pay the release clause.
Nothing much makes sense. From top to bottom. It was said that Ten Hag’s position was precarious all over the Summer yet his contract extension was triggered, so someone at a high level made that decision and as a consequence it’s cost the club a fair whack in paying him off.
Then there’s the odd line ups and strange substitutions, and Ten Hag’s stubbornness in sticking with players who aren’t performing (Dalot and Rashford to name just two).
Overpaying for players that we don’t even need. Let’s look at Mason Mount for instance. Someone decided it was a good idea to pay £60m for him when we could’ve had him on a free the following Summer, and I know I’m not alone in forgetting that he even plays for us, we’ve seen so little of him. He cut his head a month ago and hasn’t been seen since, seems he’s keeping Luke ‘sicknote’ Shaw company in the treatment room. That money could’ve gone towards buying a proven striker who Rasmus Hojlund could learn from but instead all we had was Tony Martial to work with him and he was also a treatment room regular.
On a positive note though, Ten Hag gave us two good days out at Wembley.
Anyway let’s see what the Ruud van Nistelrooy era brings when it starts tonight, however long it lasts. Me and Joe will be on our way when he gets back from work.

From what I am reading Amorin is not exactly enthisiastic about the ManU job. He says that he still has things to do at Sporting, which is quite telling.
It looks as though ManU have gone all-in on him, but if he does not move what does that say to the other "names" also mentioned? Will they be thinking "do I want to be 2nd or 3rd choice?" because that's the reality.
It is not being handled very well by airing the dirty washing in public. It would have been better for being done behind closed doors and out of the spotlight.
I think that I would leave Ruud till the end of the season and let things quieten down a bit. They are hardly likely to be relegated or to qualify for anything. Just steady the ship and head for calmer waters.

I just had to call in to say for the first time since the start of the season I am pleased we have started as badly as we have.
Had we done better I would fear for Kieran, but hopefully he is off the radar now, phew
Hope it works out for whoever comes in for you Jo
