That's not fair on other teams hoping to challenge for places to the Champions League but who will not have to play Liverpool.
Man Urd did the same at Brentford. They are safe from relegation so are concentrating on the Europa League cup in order to qualify for the CL.
Both teams are disrespecting football, fans, and the Premier League - no surprises there!
Many years go Leeds Utd were heavily fined for playing some reserves in an FA Cup tie against a much lower side. That should still be the rule. However, when it is done in a league game a points deduction (and fine) would not be out of order.
