The madness that is F1.

More rules changes - new noses and grid starts after a safety car.

New noses only came in this year, but the rules were so slack........

And if they want to change anything with the safety car it is to get it out of the way once the incident is clear and safe to do so. None of this waiting until they are all in a train and back in position. If a car wants to use the SC to come to the pits then let it come out in whatever position it comes out in - that is what happens during the race.

And this is one reason why the new rules are coming in...

A 10% drop in viewing figures, even in places like Italy. Bernie and his merry men must have thought that the new hybrid engine formula would change things after 4 years of Red Bull dominance - only to replace that with Mercedes dominance!

Next year - the old fashioned Le Mans start, with drivers running across the track to jump into their waiting cars. Every week 3 drivers will unwittingly be wearing trousers that fall down, making them last off the grid...

Hi Shell, the Safety Car will still come out, but instead of a rolling start the cars will reform on the grid in the positions they were in when the race was paused, then it will be five reds and five greens as in the original start.

My initial thought was how ridiculous but then I thought I can actually understand how that will make it more interesting. Not sure it is fair though :?
