Is the IS Goal

To alienate every major power?

Honestly, did they think that they don't have enough enemies? Did they even wonder who's weapons they are using? There tactical strategy is genius. Well if their goal is suicide that is.....

Maybe they are maniacs - religious maniacs, and as such are a threat to the civilised world.

No doubt further atrocities will take place before nations unite and take decisive action.

I've been reading the press on the Charlie Hebdo cartoon for tomorrow.

The majority of the responses are breathtaking. Even the moderates truly believe that because they believe something, then the entire rest of the world _MUST_ not do anything which goes against their belief. Whilst the moderates won't do much apart from be disgruntled, that attitude, when applied to the extremists, seems to come over to us as borderline insane.

What worries me more is that this attitude of the mainstream will mean that they will shelter the extremists.

I'm with the mayor of Rotterdam. "If you can't or won't integrate then Eff off somewhere else, we don't want you".... Given that he was born a North African and was brought to the Netherlands as a teenager, I guess he has a valid point.

Those are my views, too.

It's a pity our pitiful politicians don't say the same.

It's an easy thing to say but it's never going to happen. What is the social security and old age pension like in Morocco or Algeria?
I'd have a rough guess that it is not as high as it is in the Netherlands.
What is happening is that the incomers stay and try and change their little corner of wherever into a better edition of their homeland. The pc support of multiculturalism has actively encouraged this.

I have long said that there is a monumental Fifth Column in our midst and the only politician I have heard say the same thing is Nigel Farage.

It is sad to say, but articles like the one from Radio Free Europe will be seen as a clarion call for action by some of them. It might disgust us, but they will see it very differently. Today's edition of Charlie Hebdo will also be seen as an act of provocation in our Islamic ghettos. Some of them will be pushed over the edge even by its muted reception in the media and by commentators and politicians.

I would also like to say that I am sickened by the media constantly referring to some of them having become "radicalised" by what they see and read and hear. It is total nonsense. Muslims are radicalised the day they are born. Every facet of their lives is controlled by Islam. Everything they think do and say has to fit with Islamic teaching, or twisted by it. And they are taught from a very early age by a form of brainwashing. Thinking that they will change to fit in in a pluralist society is a pipe dream.

It's not completely like that but it is pretty close. Depressing isn't it?
