I was switching between the BBC and Sky news this morning. The left wing bias on both was staggering.
The BBC was interviewing a refugee who had come across the Med on a boat. An illegal immigrant / asylum seeker / graduate of the EU African importation scheme, call it what you like. It was the usual hearts and flowers "people can't imagine how hard it is for these immigrants, can you tell them Mr Al ahwadi (or whatever). Over to a clean cut figure in a suit, being very reasonable.
No suggestion that we haven't a clue who is coming over in those boats, where they are going when they get to Italy or what their intentions are. Just ooh isn't awful, poor people, we should all help them. No portrayal of anyone who might not fit the Mr Reasonable persona.
On to Sky news. Ian Duncan-Smith is being interviewed. Unemployment is down again. The Sky news guy, looking like someone has just run over his dog, says "Aren't we at a point where employers can't get the people they want" and "nevertheless, you aren't seeing a reward at the pols for this, are you?".
It is just unbelievable - and I've voted Tory once in my life and I'm not voting for them this time either. The bias on TV is literally incredible.
