I used to be one of those "pro's" at least in the logistics sense. But not logistics like the Navy or the RAF, more like following the battle lines and at risk of IED or counter attack.

I'd rather they used tactical nukes on a small area to get the point over than send thousands of our guys over there to run the risk of being killed.

Just my twopenneth worth. If you don't resolve a situation at the root, you'll fight the stems forever.

Just bumping this because the truly appalling Keith Vaz and his fake plummy voice have been on the BBC this morning saying that (all together now) "more needs to be done" to stop young British muslims leaving the UK to join ISIs, that we should try to win their "hearts and minds".

If anyone ever wanted an example of how different the views of our political class are from those of ordinary people, this is it.

Hearts and minds can only be won if they are open to being won. The hearts and minds of these people are already lost and closed.

Let them go, but do not let them back, do not make any attempt to get them back.

Horrible as it sounds, I'd force them back to IS after they had escaped. Then I'd make sure their execution was publicised throughout the UK.

Hearts and minds is one thing. A solid dose of reality is something entirely different....

Monster aren't I? Even if what I would do might save many hundreds of lives and misery for their families....

Abase Hussein, the father of one of the three schoolgirl ‘jihadi brides’, earlier this month blamed the police when his daughter hopped off to Syria. He was photographed holding a teddy bear and looking all innocent.

But now video footage has emerged showing him at the head of an Islamist rally led by hate preacher Anjem Choudary and attended by Michael Adebowale, the killer of soldier Lee Rigby

Well, well, well. What a complete non-surprise this is.

And he had the nerve to blame the police!

If it was up to me Abase Hussein and the rest of his family would be sent off to join their daughter, and pdq at that!

Well if he's that radical I wonder if he will be happy to know that his daughter is being auctioned off as a wife under a "1 week contract".

Really nice and religious these religious paragons of the IS. They are no more devout Moslems than Nazi's were "Socialists". Sociopaths more like.

And now it emerges that four potential 'jihadi brides' who were banned from leaving the UK last week were from the same London school as the other terrorist sympathisers, the Bethnal Green Academy.

Surely there must come a time when the do-gooders, politicians and media accept that there really is an 'enemy within' in the UK?

Perhaps this is what Nigel Farage meant by the 5th column!

There is a significant subset of the UK now who do not believe in our values, our religion or our way of life. What we now have is a growing subculture within that subset who will take action to change the UK from our values to theirs.

If that is not a definition of a 5th column I don't know what is.
