And they along with part-time work, agency work and in-work benefits help to suppress wages and boost profits.

It is not that businesses should not make profits, they have to, but those profits should not be subsidised out of general taxation.

That's an interesting thought - and one not new to me.
When I worked as a senior manager in industry, one of
my oft-used observations was that we were doing very
well, in spite of the Directors.

Reading your comments makes me think that we might
do well to vote for Labour- providing it was Old Labour,
Not the useless variety that Blair brought in.

Just a thought. :lol:

True, it is a thought. But my experience is that accountants, left alone, will strangle a business to death. Forestss and trees.

Pity about the workers though.
