As I read my way through the verbiage of the election coverage, two things strike me pretty hard.
Fist is the current polls and the belief, still, that the Tories will be the largest party in a hung parliament.
Now given that Clegg threw his toys out of the pram and refused to allow the redress of the totally unfair boundary changes made by Labour, how do they get it that the Tories will beat labour on seats when, with more than 6% larger vote, in 2010, the Tories didn't make an overall majority?? In any kind of reasonable representation, it would probably work that way. But the Tories have to get 3% more vote just to stand still. The current gap is 1%.
Although the total hammering Labour are likely to take in Scotland may help balance this out.
Second is Nicola Sturgeon and her "get the Tories out by any means".
Does she really mean it? I don't think so. Because if she truly meant it, she would tell her voters to return Labour candidates in every seat in Scotland....
Keep on going Nicky dear....
I must admit the BS is growing so thick on the ground you could feed your garden for a decade on it. Well it's 2 days now. 3 and we'll know the result...
Thank heavens for that.
