Nick Clegg's resigned.

He had no choice really. I do feel sorry for the LD's in a way because they had the guts to stand up and give us stable government for the last 5 years, whatever you might have thought of it. (I've no sympathy for Vince Cable however as he simply wasn't a team player).

I just hope Millipede follows suit. If he does, it'll be very interesting to see whether Labour reinvent themselves as a party of the left, or a party of the Blairite centre .....

I think the lib Dems should be given the credit in the progress the Government has made. Agree about Vince Cable, he was always a bit rebellious and no real assess to the Government. Sorry to see Danny Alexander go, as I think he made a real contribution.

Miliband is gone, Farage stepped down, Clegg gone. Farage may rise from the ashes with the size of the vote he created for them.

I'm less sorry for Clegg. He may have gone into government to help heal the country, but he blocked reform on critical issues and held the country back. for me it's good riddance.

had we had PR at this election, there would be a weak, poor, 3 way coalition today. I'm not in favour of those so I'm not in favour of PR.

On the tactical voting thing, it's one thing to shift your vote depending on who you want in. it is another thing to try and move the entire country to tactically vote. in the first instance all the person needs is to be aware of the candidates and who is best placed to block the person you don't want. On a national scale you need to get that information out as to everyone and then advise them what to do. That is what the two tabloids did yesterday. Basically a blueprint to keep labour out.

Very sad about Nick Clegg. They were damned if they did and damned if they didn't. I don't think they have anyone up to his standard to replace him with. I liked listening to him speak, he always made sense

I won't miss Clegg for a second. Yes he talked a very good story. However when it came down to actually living it, he was somewhat more lacking.

Personally I prefer someone shorter on Rhetoric and longer on delivery. But that's just me....

as he never really got a chance to deliver we'll never know will we. Although he did deliver to me, thanks to him I no longer pay tax
