Nearly 4 million people voted for him and the party. Before that he "won" the EU elections.
If they had done anything else, they would have been insane and insanity does not appear to be a UKIP trait. Well not now anyway.
I'm sure that Farage will step down eventually and it will be accepted. But not until he has brought the party to a higher level.
I remember the Lib Dems talking about millions of votes and handfuls of seats. I also remember how the Lib Dems turned it around. Local Government. Something not talked about much in the press is that UKIP did very well at the local election level. Something the party will also attribute to Farage and thank him for it.
