Give me your Daughter

Postby KateLMead » 29 Jan 2013, 09:02

My God what a world we are living in.. I had TV on (as always through the night) at around
3.a.m. a reporter interviewed a father who had been forced to give his ten year old daughter to a money lender to settle a debt... The father and daughter were beside themselves...
We have smuggled children of all races, numbers unknown never revealed and brought to light, trafficked and brought into UK, remember Colombi? brought in by the Aunties, given to strangers cruelly abused, little work horses, sexually abused, there are others from Africa used for Mabuti supposedly bewitched... Is this par for the course in this supposed diversified civilised country of ours these days?

Our country is in a mess and yet Dave is sending troops to "help" French soldiers in Mali. Glad I am not young. Silver surfers seem tio have had the best years.

CMD said he would not send troops to Mali, can you believe anything he says? Seems we are now fighting the rebels there but supporting the rebels in Syria. Maybe the Mali ones are the wrong type of rebel. :(

Forced to give his daughter to a money lender?

I don't think so! I think that he is making it up to garner sympathy for his own stupidity. No money lender would ask for such a payment and expect to get away with it.

This is not unusual Frank for daughters to be sold for cash in such countries, in this case he could not pay his debt hence he succumbed under threats and pressure to give up his daughter...There has been quite a lot of publicity of late regarding this type of slavery Frank.

Burke CNN the selling of children is widespread following which they are used as sex objects abused and placed in Brothels Also in India.. I know this to be a fact even in Pakistan where one of my closest friends son and daughter in law work in the community to try and save these children and young teenagers.

I misunderstood Kate, I was thinking that you were saying this happened in the UK.

We most certainly have trafficked children coming to UK Frank, used and abused by their masters and mistresses.. A socoal embarrassment for this government and any other government, so they all keep very quiet..

Despite the efforts of women such as Emmeline Pankhurst and her ilk, women in the West may have begun to have equal social status with men, but our sisters and children in many other places are still treated as chattels, and less than human. There's nothing new in that, but at least we are now aware, and we have the political voice to be heard in speaking out.
