Both the UK and France have asked other EU nations (key word) to help solve the Calais crisis because it is now a "global migration crisis". Better late than never, eh?
There are few details apart from us bringing in rules stop support for asylum seekers and to deport failed asylum seekers, known to us normal people as "bogus asylum seekers" or "illegal immigrants".
If we start deporting them to the last port of call, France, and the French do the same to Italy, Greece and Spain, and they send them back to wherever, we might eventually get some sort of EU border control worthy of the name.
