Was a shoe in! No surprises there. The Labour Party needs a massive shake up and I think it is going to get one! Twelve shadow cabinet resignations apparently, so far. .....

They think it's all over - it is now.

Or is it? Jamie Reed, Shadow Health Sec, has resigned, but there are lots of U-turns being made and plenty of unsaying of things that were said during the campaign.

The selection the other day of Sadiq Khan as Labour's candidate for London Mayor and today's election of Tom Watson and Corbyn have obliterated Blairism. There are plenty of people out there who will like that.

It will be interesting to see how some sections of the media react. they tried their damnedest to prevent Corbyn winning yet he won in round one with nearly 60% of the vote. I call that giving the media a bloody nose.... and well deserved. An interesting comment from one observer was that if the Media and Tories think that they can go on digging up old dirt the British public will get sick of it and could turn.

The next few days will be interesting - cue Tom and Jerry.

Well the bar has been set really high but I'm sure he'll make it. After all he's already hit most of the high notes....

For me you could write that document as "The new hope for Britain (without Labour).

I really must be showing my implacable Scots heritage. My undying hatred of them knows few bounds....

However, to reiterate what I said in a different way. This is why Blairism was desperately needed by Labour. It is what Labour stands for without Blairism in modern society.

Remember. Blair never lost an election. Even deeply unpopular by the time, he didn't lose an election. Brown, on the other hand, was more of a Foot style candidate.

He lost; I believe Blair may have just managed to swing one more term before we buried them for total, wanton and criminal incompetence in the economy.

I shall be watching what they do. Not that I expect many surprises.

Blair and Brown and their respective "isms" are from yesterday.

Like it or not Corbyn, Watson and Khan are for the here and now and the immediate future.

They could destroy Labour, which I suspect that you and many others want, Suff, but things could go the other way.

The first few PMQs might well be worth a watch.

I am immensely gratified that my "Don't vote for the stoat" campaign worked, and that Yvette Cooper got thrashed!

Honestly though, what sort of papers do we have in this country? Loads of them were talking Yvette Cooper up, saying that she was coming with a late run that would deny Corbyn...

She was more than 40% behind him!!

On my fb friends members of one family are outraged that he got in and are moaning constantly. Two of them worked for the Labour Party in the Blair years (he was spin doctor to health minister).

They are not happy. Tis hilarious reading.

I know, I know you are right to rebuke me. The Tories do need quality opposition. I just want the Labour Party taken to pieces and put back together with a slight touch of reality in it.

When the Labour Party started, 90% of the wealth was in the hands of 10% of the people and those who were not wealthy were treated like dirt. That has changed but Labour attitudes have not.

You can only mug Peter to p1ss it up Paul's wall for so long. Eventually Peter picks up his money and goes somewhere else. Where does that leave the people who expect money to be wasted left right and centre???

I can't see Andy Burnham making any refusal to serve statements. I find him too plausible and always ready to jump on a passing bandwagon. I think he will accept if Jeremy offers him a position in the Cabinet.

The husband of one of the teachers Mrs S taught with was Gordon Brown's agent. I must admit it would be fun to still have that connection today. Of course one of my close friends used to be taken over to Gordon's when he was a child so that both parents could use one child minder. I won't ask him because the only relationship he wants with Brown is Brown's nose on the end of his fist... I guess I'll just have to make do with the press idiots then.. Better known as Clueless...

Ah well. Back to immigration, pie in the sky and Prime Ministers Preening and Prancing time....

I might even watch a few. I do have UK TV services here, I just don't avail myself of it often....
