And here we go.

Let's take hundreds of thousands of Syrians. Let's not bother whether they are Moslem, Christian, Kurd or Levantine.... No let's just "be good" to them and they will "be good" in return.

Of course let's just ignore the fact that Turkish Kurds are fighting in Syria to try and stem the tide of IS. At the same time as Turkey is waging a war against Turkish Kurds in Turkey.

I mean they're all going to live in Christian harmony aren't they? Well perhaps like historical Christian harmony    . Their religious text is significantly more warlike, combatitive and bloodthirsty than the Christian text.

Then we have to ask ourselves where is their Islamic faith "respect for the host", where it is the worst of the worst possible acts of bad manners to cause trouble in the home of a host when you are a guest.

Well either they are as good Moslems as many of us are Christians or it's only Moslem hosts who count. Either way, do we really want these people coming into our lives? Bringing their wars and conflicts? These people are "supposed" to be so glad that they are safe and free and able to build a new life, that they should be incredibly grateful.

What is sadder is that I could not find this in the UK press, in the UK news portal in google unless I put the search terms in.

Isn't it really sad that you have to go to a Russian news agency to find out that riots have broken out in Frankfurt between rival Islamic factions??

But more than that, I can't find this demonstration in the EU press at all. The closest I could get to in UK press was this one on July 13.

I've just eaten but I'm thinking of looking for the sick bucket.....

The press have, yet again, broken the bond of trust with the people. However, this time, it may just be a step too far.

We can only hope.

Suff, your observations confirm what I was saying the other day namely that specific search terms have to be used to get meaningful results about the real feeling in Europe.

I see Munich's Civil Authority is now claiming that it is "at its limit" in dealing with the weekend's influx and wants other Lande outside of Bavaria to take more of the load.

Ah dear me... My Army sense of humour wants to make a comment and I just can't    . Only two or three on the board would understand how it was meant. Although I'm sure I'll see or hear it somewhere soon.

You won't see this one on the news either.

Frank Field was on the TV this morning and said that migration will be the defining political issue of the next 5 years.

Quick, quick, 10,000 in need of a diversity course, money to be made.

Yes I know, bad taste, very bad taste. But actually it's the EU point of view. I notice in the article that the NO marches were at least 25 times the size of the Yes marches....

But we're not going to see this on the news, in the press. None of the UK press are going to tell us how the rest of the EU is taking this because there is basically an EU clamp down to stop a NO momentum building up. If everyone else knew that they had millions of supporters in other countries, they would probably grow stronger and larger.

Best bet would be a 10 million march in Brussels. That's about the only way to get their attention. Although it would be hell to arrange.... It would shut the city down for a day or two just to get the people in and out. Certainly the police would not be able to cordon off the commission, council or parliament buildings against so many protestors.

It might also give them a glimpse of the sheer size of the people who are against this folly of sucking in people who have already made sanctuary.

I've just watched a van and three cars going past, chanting and flying Turkish flags. Heading in the direction of the Commission building.

I live in the Turkish Kurd quarter of Brussels, there is a Kurd school two doors down and they've spray painted Turkish symbols on most of the buildings here.

I guess there will be some bother this weekend. It seems to have been generally organised. Which is interesting...

OK so now they can't cope it's time to talk about EU rules, Border controls and stopping the influx.

After ridiculing the British for decades over their "protectionist" immigration policies, Germany and others are finding out the bare truth of the matter. The number of illegal immigrants has reached epidemic proportions and any attempt to be Social or Fair with the immigrants just opens the flood gates wider. The more they take, the bigger the number will try and come in.

Munich may be at breaking point now, but there are another 200,000 or so en-route.

And here is the reality of the EU. No individual country can protect themselves against immigration stupidity until all the countries and the institutions are on the same page...

So far the thinking has been that so long as we are all stupid together, then we can all take the pain together and it won't hurt as much..

I guess there's going to be a parade here in Brussels then like I thought. Not that I could get that from the news....

I was just going to go out and put the front wheel back on the bike after having changed the wheel bearings and I looked out the window.... The top resolution from Picasa is not so good, but if you zoon in a bit you'll see what I mean...

Ha! So now they are saying what I have been saying forever about free movement and benefits and what the UK could have done.

But when it was only a few thousand floating hither and dither round Europe, or when they only wanted to get to the UK, it was not a problem. Now that it is hundreds of thousands, approaching a million, and they are on the mainland, all these rules need to be applied, and with some force.

I can hear the gnashing of teeth in the BBC as they have no option but to report the story as de Maiziere made his statements in an open news conference.

I see that Brussels has a lot of white vehicles with big numbers on them. Now why would that be. Keep your door locked mate, and find an alternative exit.

Looks like the coppers in Brussels are blocking streets off.
