I did not mean "you" you, I did mean the media/press.

I think you are right, they do want to control what we think and how we behave. How deluded are they?

Sorry, replied on the phone whilst sitting having a coffee in a corner at work. Not quite so coherent.

They're totally deluded but I think we have allowed them to be. We buy what they push out regardless of whether it's fit for consumption or not. Then we take to the web to complain and they ignore us and a few hundred people drown out thousands of dissenting comments.

It's why I use Google News. I wind up a bit out of context from time to time and, from time to time, I don't even read the whole article, simply not worth it.

The Telegraph has been a bit cooler on the whole Corby front but it was just keeping it's powder dry.

Had they not prattled on constantly about Corbyn, then this Carry On Corbyn article from Dan Hodges would have had much more impact

The left may be happy with Corbyn's speech at the conference; but pretty much everyone who is not a CND supporter heard something very different from him. What they heard was "I won't do my job to protect you as I'm supposed to, so let's get rid of the only way of protecting you so that it won't be my fault".

Then he carries on with his acts of petulance against the crown. Let's face it squarely. Britain is a constitutional Monarchy and the Queen is the head of state. If the leader of the opposition in the House of Representatives were to snub the "office" of the President of the United States in the way Corbyn is snubbing the Queen, for the simple reason that he didn't like the President or the President's party, he would not be the leader long.

Corbyn accepted the job. If he didn't want to do it then he should not have accepted. If he wants to change it then he needs to win the next election and make those changes correctly by carrying 50.00001% of the voters on the day with him.

I have been consistent since day 1. I believe the man is a Muppet and he will be the architect of his own destruction. Apparently there are a few Labour voters who agree with me.

Interestingly, last weekend, I spent time talking to my brother in law. In the 70's he was a member of the Communist party, organising sit in's and fully left wing politically. Today he's a solid SNP voter. He thinks Corbyn is an idiot and is going to do all he can to punish Labour all over again next year in the Scottish parliament elections.
