We are letting Smudge play out now for short spells - he only 'knows' the back garden but because we have an open fence between ours and next door, he hops into her garden too....I've spoken to her and she is fine about it
Out the back of us is a garden/huge paved area where A. Big. Dog. lives. He's very calm and wags his tail through the fence when he spots Smudge....the last two days when Smudge has come in, we can smell a smell on his face, just his face. Can't put our finger on what the smell might be, it's a sort of horsey, leathery smell, but there are no animals like that around the back gardens.....it COULD be a composty smell, two doors further up, the guy has an indoor cat and his garden is more like a wild area, he doesn't take care of it, so it is completely overgrown....maybe he has some compost? Anyway last night Smudge's poo was very loose, not at all like him, but he was fine in himself. He has eaten as normal today, but again, as yesterday, he has come in with this smell on his face. I 'washed' it with a damp flannel, but it still smells Hoping he doesn't have a bad tummy tonight again. I don't want to keep him in, he LOVES jumping about and running around outside soooooo much
