We had the most amazing thunderstorm last night!! I've not seen a storm like it since I left Sydney 10 years ago. Flashes and flashes and more before the thunder had time to catch up! it lasted about an hour, most unusual here. I wish I'd been more awake to enjoy it, but I kept falling asleep.
Everything happens for a reason

Oh, that's a result!! Looking through a big plastic storage box of 'old' shoes and handbags (ie ones I don't often wear), to see if I had anything suitable for Ron's funeral, other than my black high heeled boots (very smart, but not all that comfy when you are on your feet for long, and there will be a stand-up buffet afterwards), and I found the gorgeous black patent flats I bought for my dad's funeral. I got them in the Faith sale in Debenhams, they are pointed, cut low over the foot, with smart bows on. I had totally forgotten about them, and they look brand new  :D

Oh nice one Kaz :)
I have a pair of black patent ballet-type shoes with bows on too, they come in very useful when you want to look smart without heels :)
I don't normally wear shoes indoors at all (bare feet, socks and/or slippers depending on temperature) but wore them at Christmas, to the neighbours as well as here :)

Just looked at the recipe Ally, it's one I often make with just veggies and without the honey.
It is yummy, and so simple too :)
