Kate, the reason I was asking is that, to my knowledge, none of them are criminals. It certainly is not criminal to be transgender. In fact some Gender Law of about 2005-6 allows TG to change birth certificates, passports, driving licences and other paperwork to show their new status.

The legal status of Vicky Thompson and Tara Burton was, and is, "male" as neither of them had or have completed gender realignment surgery. For the media to continually refer to them as women is agenda driven, a distortion of the facts, and an attempt to close down debate.

I have no proof, but I suspect that Tara Hudson performs her ablutions separate from the other prisoners.
