We used to feed Millie a raw food diet when she was a puppy Meri. She really enjoyed it and I found it easy enough to do.
Then she had a bout of colitis and we had to change how we fed her and never went back to raw food - it was just so much easier to give her a mug of dried food.
She always used to have a dried complete food for working dogs along with lots of scraps of meat and veg, until the accident. Now she has to have the wet food so that we can get it to a consistency to get it down her - its the swallowing that's the problem with Millie rather than her stomach and the food we give her.
I don't think she will ever be back on completely dry food again as she will always have the stricture and therefore her osophogus might not be able to cope with lumps (so no treats, biscuits, etc). Once her weight is back up to where it should be we will probably put her back on the dried biscuits but soaked in water to make them easier to go down.
I think it will be lots of trial and error to see what suits her best but at the moment the main focus is keeping the food at a consistency that she can swallow and getting her to gain some weight.
