Yes, we'd fully agree with that view, Rodo, especially regarding "Shetland" - this latest series (the third?) is certainly the best so far, stunning scenery and a very good plot-line.
Similarly, "Vera" - Brenda Blethyn has really nailed this down after what was, we thought, a bit of a shaky first series backalong, which we nearly gave up on. Neil Dudgeon is now putting his stamp on "Midsomer Murders", a worthy successor to John Nettles. The only show possibly showing its age now is this final series of "Mt Selfridge" but Jeremy Piven is such a charismatic actor, I'm sure he'll carry it to the finish.
