I have a system, Saundra.

Go in late and pick up stuff whose sell-by date is tomorrow, or go in early and get the reduced 'reduced' stuff. Having said that I only get what I will use or if there is a super bargain.

Good timing :D
Did you leave them whole, I'd have cut them into halves or quarters :)

Now she tells me.

I put them in as they were, but it is not really a problem. I have a block sized Tupperware type thing for the fridge, and I use a fair bit.  ;)

When mum comes over and brings me kilogram blocks of cheese she advised me to cut them up before freezing them....it has been known for a huuuuuge portion to be eaten before a knife goes anywhere near it.
