Thank you Ria, for the hugs and the lovely words (((((((((((((x))))))))))))

You're right Saundra, about technology :) I've just added B on Skype, so we'll be able to chat, although the time difference might be a challenge ;) I chat to my cousin in Germany quite often, so I am used to using Skype 8-) Yes her connecting flight from Toronto is another 5 hours, so a looong way away

Good luck and safe journey to Becky.
I hope she has a good time in Canada.
As you know my Alyssa loved it there when she went as a children`s nanny.

Best of luck Becky. Canada is the one country that was and still is at the top of my list to get to. I've tried a few times to get there but plans have fallen through. And to think of all the countries I have got to.... One day.... One day.....

In the meantime, I'm hanging out for photos!!

Enjoy your adventures and may they be fond memories to look back on.

Oh thanks so much everyone :D

Lissie I do remember your granddaughter having a great time there, hoping my B will so the same :D Thanks, and nice to see you! xxx

Di, I will share the pics on FB and put some here on VV as well, to keep everyone updated 8-)

Weka, it does look utterly amazing!!! Mick's mum went years ago and dug out all the old pics for Becks and me to look at before she went 8-) 8-) Stunning place!

Thanks Jen :D xx

Thanks Ton :D 8-) She said that I could read messages, but as the dogs can't read they will need to see her!     I know my place................

Well all went well, we were out of here for 5.15 am  Straight round to D's to drop the dogs, then on to Gatwick. The traffic got slow around the M25, near the M3 turn-off, as we knew it would at that time of day, but we got to Gatwick in plenty of time, saw her through check in, then watched her go through to Departures. I choked up a bit, and so did she, but I was brave until she was out of sight     We got back to Gloucester at lunchtime, and have been round D's all afternoon as she cooked us a delicious roast lamb dinner followed by bread and butter pudding, so we lolled in chairs all afternoon watching daytime TV, totally stuffed and completely bushed. It was more than 300 miles, the round trip! B is probably somewhere over Nova Scotia at the moment! She has a 3 hour lay-over at Toronto, then another 5 hour flight on to Vancouver, so will be there in the early hours our time, late evening their time!

Thanks so much for the kind messages and good wishes, I will definitely keep you all updated on her adventures 8-) An early night beckons, I reckon
