It's always packed here at a weekend with visitors and it's gridlocked
It's now raining so I'm not going anywhere

Enjoy, Saundra :D

Morning Frank :)

Hope that P gets your painting done, Jen :)

Well it's still grey here although not raining at the moment. No chance of sitting outside though, far too grey and soggy

Morning all, a lot of rain earlier but it is clearing up now. No particular plan for the day, I need to go to the library as the online ebook section isn't accepting my password  Also, the ironing is calling although I don't particularly want to hear it :cute: Mind you I have been very good at keeping it up to date recently, so perhaps I will get to it later *polishes halo*. Hope everyone has a lovely day :)

I've been shopping and riding so far this morning and am now having lunch.

A bit of pottering around the house for a couple of hours and we are then off down into the village for the Matlock Bath Music Festival. It starts at around 12pm and goes on until around 12pm. All the pubs and a few cafes in the village take part (8 venues in all) with bands playing inside and outside - there are probably around 100 bands playing in total. The main one I want to see is a brass band playing at 6pm - they do loads of pop songs and are fantastic. We are supposed to be meeting up with the girls and their friends down there later.

Jo - I nearly booked tickets for Paul Heaton for tonight as we really wanted to see him but as it clashed with the local music festival (which is free so it doesn't matter if it rains) we stuck with that. I'm waiting for more tour dates to be released so we can book to see him somewhere else.

That sounds good Deb. We've seen them before and had tickets to see them in March but I had two colds in quick succession and wasn't feeling up to going as the venue in Birmingham is horrible and hot so I managed to sell the tickets to someone on PH's Facebook page who'd missed out when tickets went on sale.

It's dry and very humid at the moment but heavy rain is forecast for 8-9 onwards.
