Hello everyone.

24ºC at the moment, forecast for a possible 27ºC by mid afternoon. :o

All the windows are open and the curtains are closed to try to keep the direct sunlight out.

I do not know how some of you on the Iberian peninsula cope with this hell. :P :P :P

Oh my. :D :D :D :D

I've just come home after having two slices of quite possibly the nicest cake I have ever had in my life! :D :D :D

Satsuma mandarin and vanilla upside down cake. :D :D :D :D :D

Oooh that sounds nice!

We went into 2nd Cup on New St yesterday, hadn't been in there before Friday when Tom took me in for coffee. We all had cakes yesterday and Tom and I had carrot cake cheescake which was absolutely flippin' gorgeous - a carrot cake base rather than the usual crumbed biscuit with gorgeous thick creamy cheesecake on top.

I don't usually like carrot cake, but that sounds yum!

Your cake sounds gorgeous Ally :)
No outside thermometer here but it must be approaching 30, definitely scorchio 8-) :Hi:
Could do with a pool to lie by

Went into the next town earlier, was trying to buy shoes but the department store has closed their shoe dept
The plan was to get a few bits of shopping in the co-op, opposite. It's closed
So had to walk all the way up to Morrison's which I hate as it's too small and tends to be full of the great unwashed   If they have any sense they'll take the ex co-op ;)

Still, I did buy a nice lampshade, and exactly what I'd been looking for, a new bottom for my black tankini, knickers with a little skirt attached :D
Now I just need a new blue bottom  for the other tankini.

Both of those cakes sound yummy!!!!

Oh Di, what a shame about the shoe shopping

I've had a lovely, if boiling hot day! Walked down to the GP's, got a prescription but they didn't have the right gel version in so will have to go again tomorrow! I also tried in Boots but they didn't have it either! Then down into town for WW, followed by a cuppa and a long mooch round town afterwards with Emma and J :) Matching set of lovely aqua bra and matching knickers for £9 in the M&S sale. I do need to stop spending though :?
