Just had an hour with my oldest friend Rob, friends of very very very almost 47 years. Such a lovely fella

That's the sort of relationship that me and Rob have always had. His brother is 16 years older than him and my sister is 11 years older than me so we had each other, we always lived near to each other too. In houses opposite when we were babies and then three houses apart throughout our childhoods and teens - in fact our parents still live there, although sadly he lost his Mom two years ago. We even had children close together too - Tom and their oldest daughter were born just three days apart, Rob's 17 days older than me

I came in from my shaded spot by the pool to record a film (thanks Di!) and have just spotted a very young Roger Moore in The Saint.

When I asked Joao about the door handles, the sink thingy and the lights, he was unaware that they were needed - so we'll see

Couldn't make it up...........

The sink thingy is in and working, the backplate for the "microwave" cupboard is in place - but Grumpy needs to fix it, otherwise it'll fall behind the oven - the door handles are on, some slightly wonky, so Grumpy will be sorting them out, the extractor fans are in place, the doors and cupboards all close properly.

But they are coming back tomorrow - the remote control - which I didn't know I was even getting - for the lights above the hob isn't working, so they need to replace it with another one - tomorrow afternoon
