Jo, that is why you get a doorstep of fresh crusty bread. It is to mop up the cornucopia of heavenly flavours as bacon fat mixes with egg yolk mixes with bean juice.



Some people (me) cook beans in the same pan as the bacon, after the bacon is done, for an extra hit of lusciousness.
