Samsung S7/Edge phone

While lazing by the lake, himself is considering a new phone and wants me to ask if any of you have this one!

Osc, I just checked with a friend because I thought she had one - she has the regular S7, but a friend has the Edge

Only feedback she's given is that the screen of the Edge is amazing but because of the curved edge it can be difficult to hold because your hand constantly touches the screen which can be annoying at times. She says the only advantage the Edge has over the regular S7 is the clarity of the screen if you watch lots of video's etc; but otherwise the regular S7 is just as good and (I think) cheaper? The camera on both is fantastic.

To add, that I have the Samsung S5 Neo and will agree re the camera - Samsung really are very very good in that aspect.

What does E have at the moment? Is he used to android or apple?

My husband recently got one and is very impressed………this is the man who was totally committed to Blackberry!! He has managed to break it though, the glass curves around it and it fell out of his top pocket when he bent down to take the lead off the dog, hit the edge and it cracked slightly……..he did it again over the weekend so it is now cracked a little more. I would make sure he gets a case for it Osc…….

Thanks, both. He currently has an iphone 5, and his main interest apart from the phone, is the camera and he can get an upgrade to the Samsung S6 for free and the S7 for €190, with Edge being another €100 on top of that.

Osc, the camera on the Samsung's is absolutely amazing and he won't regret changing from Apple to Android just for that reason...

Not sure the Edge is worth the extra €290 to be honest; tell him to look at the 6 - it's a good phone as well

Osc, I've put this onto your FB page as well, it's a bit bigger there.

But this is a photo I took on my Galaxy S5 Neo; and I've zoomed in on it and cropped it - I think it's an amazing amount of clear detail for a phone camera. As said - from that point alone I'd swop from iPhone to Samsung any day
