Conor's coming home from his holidays today...Jacob flies off to Germany thanks to his mega cheap ticket.

I'm staying by the pool with a book.

Out tonight with friends for a Chinese meal so I shall record Only Connect.

Once John gets up we'll walk Billy and I need to drop some birthday presents and cards off at Ruth and Rob's today as it's their daughter Grace's 9th birthday tomorrow. Those 9 years have flown by!

Off to Ourique to get some red, pink, green and white wine and a couple of other bits for our soiree this afternoon Two friends have never seen this house and the other two only saw it a couple of days after we moved in, so a lot to see and talk about.

Ton, it sounds like you have a big day planned, hope all goes well and that everyone has a lovely time

We are treating today like an extra Saturday and going out later It's sunny here and the last BH of the year until Christmas so we want to make the most of it, and of our last week of just the two of us! Becky is coming home next week, instead of the end of the year! Several reasons really, but mainly it transpired that most of the interns there only do about two or three months, rather than B's intended six, she will still get the much wanted reference to put on her CV, and she'll have lots of her savings left to come home with, so she can concentrate on getting through her driving test making it a lot easier to find an animal-related job anywhere in the SW and still live at home.

So she was umming and arring about coming home early, or still staying despite the baby season almost being over, and then the well at Critter Care ran dry, they got told they could only shower once a week ( ) and otherwise to use the hosepipe outside wearing their bathing costumes So I think that tipped the balance She's leaving there tomorrow and going into Vancouver for a week, to sight see, including a whale watch, and flying home next Tuesday We'll be happy to have her home

Another bright and sunny day

Steve rang yesterday evening to say he'd be a bit later this morning so we managed an extra hour in bed, sooooo looking forward to having everything finished and nice long lie ins again.

It will be lovely for you to have B home Kaz, sounds like she's had a fabulous time.

E's still coughing and spluttering, but he's keen to get out so we'll probably go down to the harbour later and have a little stroll around.
