Morning Ally, morning all :)

That sounds like a good day Ally, and useful to be able to brush up on your Italian 8-) :)

Not quite as sunny today, in fact it looks a bit dodgy out there, as if it might rain - the forecast isn't too bad though so fingers crossed! I'm seeing my client later this morning, then will probably go on into town or the Quays afterwards, depending on the weather :) Becky moved out of the wildlife place yesterday, and is now in the hostel in Vancouver - lots of sightseeing planned for later ;) 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all, it's quite dull here and looks a tad breezy. The trees in the woods behind the houses opposite are blowing around quite a bit.

Off for a haircut shortly and the boys are leaving for the station at the same time. They've got three trains to catch to get them to South Wales. There'll be a nice walk with Billy afterward I get home.

Ally, I have an Italian friend who taught me to swear in Italian :D

Kaz, tell Becky to have a fabulous time :D

Enjoy your days, all!

morning all

mom and I are sitting around waiting for the boiler man to come for the annual boiler service - any time between 8am and 1pm..... And then once he's been we're heading into town for a mooch about.

The weather is rather iffy here as well - sunshine this morning so I'm going to continue chopping away at the front hedge. But rain later; so perfect mooch weather really

Ally, enjoy meeting up with your friend; brushing up on language skills is always a good idea.
Kaz, did I miss something - why did Becks move out of the wildlife place; has she finished off there already?
Jo, enjoy the haircut and the walk later

Have a lovely day all whatever it is you're up to.

Morning all :D

Yesterday wasn't too ghastly, more a case of me having to manage my nerves. Afterwards we caught the bus back from the hospital and stopped off at the harbour for a nice big brekkie, my treat for being so brave   I've been given anti inflammatory drops to use for a week and already my vision in that eye seems to be back to where it was after the cataract surgery so fingers crossed.

Bright and sunny here again 8-) I'm off out for coffee with the ladies this morning, not sure what we'll do for the rest of the day yet.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Glad it all went well for you Jen (((((x)))) Have a good coffee morning with the ladies :D

Morning myrtle - that made me laugh

Ria, yes she has. I did post about it on a morning thread earlier this week, but probably should have made a separate post too, as it was easy to miss. She's having a week in Vancouver, sightseeing, then home next week. When she got out there she discovered that mostly the interns only do a two or three month stint, the well they use for water was running dry, so they were down to one hot shower a week, and otherwise strip washes or using the hosepipe in their bathing costumes, which wasn't very pleasant, plus baby season is almost over so it was about to go very quiet! She got a lovely reference, I posted it on the families board :) So, home next week to concentrate on getting through her driving test, and then looking for a paid animal related job :)

Morning everyone

Rather autumnal feeling here this morning  and cloudy, but the sun is trying very hard to come out to play :D :D

Hope B has a great time in Vancouver :Hi: :Hi: a shame it's come to an end so quickly but a great experience for her :D

Boring supermarket shopping for us later and I really really must post 2 birthday cards (keep forgetting to get the stamps    )

Glad you feel a bit better this morning Jen xx enjoy your coffee morning.

Having taken the advice of our friends, our pool went a lovely sludge green colour :o :o  but is now a paler green. It's okay to swim in - we have a lot of iron in our water here - but not a chance yesterday    looked really revolting, swamp like

Enjoy the time with your mom Ria xx

Have a good day everyone xx

Morning all, quite cloudy here and there seems to have been some rain during the night. We are going out shortly, our living room Austrian blinds have been giving us problems so we are taking them back to the people who made them - I need Mr Osc to navigate as the place was really hard to find the last time, so he has it on the satnav...ish  It is in a business park, one of the older ones that don't have much signage. Dancing tonight :D Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all,

Cool miserable and raining off and on here. Which suits me fine as I'm packing. I'm probably going to have to leave tomorrow morning as I spent a chunk of last night trying to get my bike front tyre from the fitter. But that is done now.

I hope Becky has a great time in Vancouver. Canada has had a really dry summer this year so I can understand the well problems.

Ton I don't envy you the pool problem. Have you considered going to the pool shop with a sample of the water and asking what they recommend? That is what they do in France. Usually they're pretty good. Although Mrs S and I tend to just drain the pool every 2-3 years and re-fill. Our tap water is quite good enough and our pool is a semi interred above ground so it's really difficult to circulate the water fully.

Have a great day all.
