Morning all.

Gorgeous morning and a busy day ahead. Dog walked and fed, chickens fed and watered and washing hung out. Shelby is just finishing breakfast and Lucy just getting up. Mick left for Clitheroe about an hour ago.

Work for me after dropping S at the bus station, college induction for Shelby - she finds out her hours today - and back to school for Lucy. After work a quick dash to fetch S from the bus station at Alfreton, drop her at mums, get my nails done and home for about 8pm.

Morning everyone

Much better this morning - still warm, but hopefully not as hot later ;)

Thankfully, for us, anyway Saundra, the main fires are further up north - they have a lot of pine trees up there and of course, idiots who get a kick out of fires

Grumpy out planning and shifting rocks on the bank and we're off to Castro verde market later. Hopefully, we'll get some plants too.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Hope it stays dry enough for your washing Saundra, shame it changed like that :? We have sun, and I have another load of B's stuff ready to go out - I think there will be more

Morning Debih, hope the college induction goes well for S :D I have some news about Harry's college, but will make a separate post I think.

Have a nice lunch with your friend Ally :) xx

Tom. I'm glad the fires are well away from you - it really is madness when people start them on purpose

Well I have my client again this morning, N woke at 6am full of beans after a lovely long sleep - she turned in at 7 last night  - so will meet me for lunch in the Quays later :) 8-) Then she's contacting her old driving instructor this afternoon to see when she can fit her in for some lessons :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxxxx

Morning all

Enjoy the lunch with B Kaz, bet you're glad to have her back home
Ally, don't blame you not going for a run - the swim sounds perfect.
Saundra, it's grey and humid here as well; apparently meant to clear a bit later on so I'm going to get some washing into the machine very shortly as well. But it definitely takes longer to dry when there's no sun about
Debih, good luck to Shelby with the college induction and you with your day - it certainly sounds a busy one :)
Ton, glad you're safe where you are. I also don't get why people do what they do. I haven't been following at all, but has it been confirmed that these fires were started deliberately?

Well a day at home for mom and I today. I'll be pootling in the garden and mom will be pootling about with other things. Later this evening we're heading over to Karl and Nadine's and picking up some KFC along the way. Mom loves it and they don't have it in Germany, so whenever she's here we make sure we have it at least once  .

Have a lovely day all xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here :D

Need to be here this morning as we have a couple of issues with the electrician. He's fitted a dimmer switch for the lounge and dining area, but he's used non dimmable bulbs which don't dim correctly but even more irritating emit a low buzzing noise  It's been an ongoing problem, he's tried numerous switches as he doesn't want to admit it's just a case of changing the bulbs as he doesn't want to replace them, led's are expensive. Enough's enough, he'll just have to swallow it and get it sorted

We've almost got our kitchen back, not during the day as Steve's busy tiling which he hopes to get finished today. Used the hob last night and joy of joys, our new dishwasher :D :D :D We moved down here over 2yrs ago and haven't missed anything about living in Swindon but oh boy how we missed having a dishwasher, how sad is that

This afternoon we're off to the cinema to see Ben Hur, it will be interesting to see how it compares with the original. Overall the reviews are good so we'll see..........

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, quite a nice day here. We are childminding again today as Miss Osc's childminder is on holiday this week, so we are helping out as much as we can. Michael doesn't finish school until 2.30pm now. Kellie has been busy, she helped me make the bed, then helped Grandad put on bolognaise sauce in the slow cooker, so now she is relaxing watching some Peppa Pig ;) Have a nice day everyone :)
