Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here :D

Enjoy your day with mum and dad Ally.

Sounds like you're in for a busy weekend Kaz. Hope D feels better soon x

Good luck with the job hunting Suff.

Steve had an appointment this morning so is arriving a bit late, expecting him any time now. It's been nice to have a lie in. One side of the kitchen is almost done now so he'll be sink/cooker side today, means it will be best for us keep out of the way again. We didn't do the main shop yesterday in the end as we wouldn't have been able to put it away in the fridge/freezer until the evening so we'll be doing that later. Also should be picking up E's new phone this afternoon. The best deal was Carphone warehouse in the end. They were offering 1Gb data with unlimited calls and texts and no upfront cost for the Samsung Galaxy J5 with O2 for £17mth. O2 themselves wanted £22mth for the same phone with a much smaller package, not sure how that works :? I'm sure there are cheaper handsets out there, but E liked the look of this one, it will be interesting to see how much he uses it

Hope you all have a good day :D

That's a really good deal Jen... I pay £20 a month with EE and only get 500Mb data. I'll definitely look at Carphone Warehouse when my renewal comes up (sadly still a while away)

Morning all, lovely autumn day here. Mr Osc will be going out shortly for his regular Friday golf game and I have very exciting plans for the day....cleaning the bathrooms  :D I also need to pop to the post office, plus I might clear the small pile of ironing if the mood takes me :cute: Jen, it won't be long before E loves his phone, I bet! I got a new phone on Wednesday, an iPhone 6s plus, I was finding it more and more difficult to read things on my iPhone 5. Mr Osc recently got a Samsung 7 Edge which looked huge, but is so clear and easy to read. I didn't want to have to re-educate myself in a whole new operating system so stuck with iPhone and I really like it. Got myself a snazzy cover for it too - turned down the chance of a boring expensive one in the Vodafone shop in favour of the much cheaper phone cover shop three doors down

Have a nice day everyone :)

Good morning everyone.

It's a lovely morning here. Been a walk up to the local shop for the paper and a few odds and sods, and done the daily crossword.

No plans for this afternoon - yet. Looking forward to Strictly this evening.

Have a nice day.

Afternoon all :)
A beautiful day here, cold first thing but lovely and bright and sunny :)

Been to art this morning, the last session for our summer teacher, Richard will be back before we come home from our holiday, We've all learnt more, because Pru only does watercolour, but I do miss having fun using different paints, charcoal, etc so am looking forward to the change.

Kaz poor D, what rotten timing, but actually probably a good thing that it means you can justifiably do the lunch instead - you being a mere stripling, comparatively ;) :D And you get to show off your lovely new carpets too :D

Hope you're all having a good day

Ria my BIL now only buys his phones. The Galaxy J5 can be had for £130. Virgin gives 1gb a month, 1,000 minutes and unlimited texts for £8. He has managed to get his service to unlimited everything for £8 a month and buys his own phones.

If you work it out, £9 a month for a year is £108 and it's pretty close to the cost of the phone. Then, the sim deal with
Virgin is monthly rolling so if you want a better deal you can just take it after the first month.

Always something to consider when you come to the end of your contract.

Definitely something to consider Suff.... but only thing would be, can I keep my existing number if I moved from a contract to a pay as you go? I've had the same mobile number since I moved to the UK back in '97 and I'd quite like to keep it

What a shame Kaz, poor D. Really hope she's feeling up to going to Westonbirt.
Have a lovely weekend with Harry! :D

It's been a lovely sunny day here and the temperature is lovely :)

Now Tom's moved back to uni I've been able to give their bathroom a really thorough clean. It was cleaned before but they've got a deep tiled recessed shelf along the one wall and it's usually no problem to keep clean but Tom seems to have been collecting various products and the shelf was actually covered and there was no way I was moving every tube, bottle and pot
