I get annoyed that I can't take mine when we go to the football (for the train journey) but tablets are banned from Old Trafford and while it's not a tablet I worry that a jobsworth steward would stop me going in if I had it in my bag. I could talk to Joe on the journey but he gets on the train and falls asleep

What a stunning day! We were at Miss Osc's house for Kellie's birthday party (pics on Photo board) and we were outside on the patio in glorious sunshine. Coming home at 5.30 I was in my sleeveless dress without my cardi - mind you, it did get chilly fairly quickly, but still, it was wonderful for October.

Two lovely, heavy showers during the night - none at the moment, but more to come, looking at the clouds. Thanks heavens we have mains lecky as well as solar

Really really hoping this will work out. One of my oldest internet friends (we go back almost 18 years) is going to be in LA for a few days while we're there so we're going to try to meet up. She's an Aussie, just retired and is spending 6 months travelling in the US. So many miles between us normally and I didn't ever think we'd get chance to ever meet.

Just had a struggle with myself and I think I have a solution.

I wanted some new navy high top Converse for my holidays as mine are a bit scruffy (I love navy ones so much)....so, do I order a new pair or wait until I get there and go to the Converse outlet nearby. Decisions, decisions.

I ordered a pair which should be here by Monday but will still go to the outlet and maybe perhaps buy a pair in a different colouror pairs in other colours
