Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 15 Oct 2016, 05:53

Good morning. :D

Forecast lovely again. 8-)

A run then back for coffee and a few hours just being at home!

Tonight I'm off to Benalmadena - the lady I worked for in the UK flew into Malaga yesterday with her 3 sisters and she got in touch with me to see if I'd like to meet up for drinks and dinner. We've always kept in touch (met up the couple of times her and her hubby have been over here) so really looking forward to a catch up. :D :D

Staying the night at their hotel with them and Don will pick me up in the morning. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning! It's still dark here so no idea what the weather is doing.

Once it's light we'll walk Billy. We need to go into town this morning and buy some currency, something I could easily do myself but I'd feel safer with John with me when carrying an amount of money. Once we're back John's going to do the flooring in Joe's bathroom.

Tom came home after work last night, he hasn't got a shift today so will go back to Wolverhampton later. Great timing that he's got a cold though :?

We'll call in and see my parents later too.

Sounds like a fun day Ally, enjoy catching up!

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Have a good time catching up Ally :D

I don't blame you Jo, about the currency, I could have picked up ours in town the Monday before we went, but waited until I had Mick with me :?

It looks like a decent day here, weather wise :) We'll be out later for our usual Saturday - Becks will be with us as she isn't working today. She had a great first day yesterday, and thinks she will really enjoy her time there. It does sound a lovely place to work 8-) Her next day is Wednesday next week, as the shop is always closed form Sunday through Tuesday. She has her first driving lesson since she got back from Canada on Monday, then will have them regularly again until her test :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

A really lovely morning, so we slept in and have only just got up

Have a great catch up Ally x and glad Becky enjoyed her first day Kaz x

Busy day for us, getting ready for J & J arriving tomorrow. They've been to Portugal before )twice) once to visit us in Fuzeta, years ago and earlier this year, to visit their friends who have recently moved over. but never to the Alentejo, so they're in for a bit of a surprise

Washing machine on and I'll be doing the heavy cleaning (should take me no more than an hour 8-) ) and I'll do the finishing touches tomorrow.

Off down to the bar later, sadly no cheese, the cheese lady is laid up at the moment and not making any  but the veg man and the bean man is coming too. By beans, I mean the dried ones :D The sells lots of different ones in 5 litre water bottles, for 10 euros, so I always buy some. great for soups and stews, now.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, but there's a definite nip in the air.

Enjoy your catch up Ally. Glad Becky had a good first day Kaz.

Just Peter painter here today, he'll be finishing the lounge plus more work on the doors.

Think we'll be pottering about here most of the day. The dining room table and chairs are out of the garage and back indoors, but they've been out there since April so the chair covers are looking decidedly grimy, luckily they're removable and can be washed so I'll be having a go at them today. Got loads of other washing to do, it would be good to get most of it done before the boiler man arrives Monday. It's likely to smell like a Chinese laundry as the day goes on

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all.

It looks quite pleasant outside, so I'll be off soon for my morning walk to the newspaper shop soon. Nothing else planned for today.

Hope you are all feeling fine, and have a nice day.

Afternoon all, we had terrible rain earlier but it has cleared up nicely now. We had both children unexpectedly this morning - Mr Osc wanted to see Michael playing a football match so Miss Osc collected him and left Kellie with me. Then she dropped Mr Osc back here with Michael, who wanted to see me before our holiday, so as Miss Osc needed to go back to help with other football, Michael stayed here for an hour or so. That set back my schedule a bit, but the ironing is finished now. I have to pack, check in online and ring the hotel to tell them we will be a late arrival. I hope to be sitting down in front of Strictly doing my nails with everything else done :D

Jo, we put the bulk of our dollars on a dollar debit card that we got in the post office to cut down on the amount of cash we will have, plus we will obviously have the credit card (well, there is a hooge shopping mall near the hotel we will be in, before we move to downtown Nashville ;) ).

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday :)
