Safe travels Osc, that's a long day, I don't envy you the journey but of course it will all be worth it :D

Safe travels for you tomorrow Suff.

Saundra it cleared up here, but instead of gardening I've been cooking instead ;)

I'm so late checking in today - we haven't stopped!

Lots of pre-holiday cleaning has been done, suitcases have been taken from the garage and thoroughly cleaned. I've been to the post office to pick up my Converse, I had Amazon deliver them to there as it's easier than waiting in for a delivery. Billy's had a lovely long walk this afternoon, it was pouring down this morning so we didn't go. He wouldn't even go out into the garden until nearly 11
I think we've upset Tom. Both boys had a bookcase each in their rooms but Joe can no longer fit his in since having his new furniture so it's been stuck in the spare room. Tom was adamant that he didn't want it in his. It matches his furniture and is identical to the one he has and they can be fitted together to make a lovely big unit. Anyway, we had to sort out the spare room today so that mother in law can sleep in there so we've had a dilemma. I had a cunning plan, in that we'd put the bookcase into Tom's room and when he comes home on Thursday night he'll be far too excited about his holiday to have a strop about it. John, however, asked him again if we could put it in and again he said no. Now it's too good a piece of furniture to just stick in the garage or give away to the charity shop, plus it might come in useful as storage in the future and we'd regret not keeping it. So anyway, it's now in Tom's room and looks really nice. John sent him a text saying that we'd temporarily put it in there and 10 hours later we've had no reply.
Thing is, he isn't living here for 9 months of the year so it doesn't really make much difference to him

I'm afraid we store a few things in H's room these days, as he's here so rarely  The suitcases are on top of his wardrobe and several large plastic boxes with my shoes and handbags in the alcove in the corner

Mind you, he did recently get our 'old' 40" TV in there, wall mounted, so he doesn't have that much to complain about!
