Morning all :D

Nice and dry here at the moment. The driveway peeps are back today, fingers crossed it stays that way and they can make good progress.

I ordered a new rug for the lounge and, sods law, they tried to deliver it while we were out yesterday. The card say's they'll retry today so we'll be staying in until it arrives. Now we're in a bungalow E's decided he can clean the windows. B&Q were selling a window Karcher half price in October which came with an offer of a free extension set direct from Karcher and the latter's due today too.

If they both arrive this morning we'll do the weekly shop later, if not there's enough here to keep us going today.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good Morning all,
Got the washing on as it is dry here at the moment.
I have been waiting for an appointment from the hospital
to see the eye specialist as i have a membrane growing over
the retina and they are keeping an eye on it and will have to
operate if it grows too big.(at the last count it was still ok)
I have now got the appointment (after waiting 3 months after it
was due) but sod`s law has intervened and i have a cold and
chest infection so don`t feel like being poked about on Saturday.
I will phone and cancel and ask for another one. The worst part
is having drops in and having to wait 2-3 hours before i can drive
back as the sight is blurred.

Good morning all! It's a bit mixed here today. Not as cold but showery, and heavy showers at that.

I'm just back from town, I needed a few things plus I had a parcel to send to my friend in Orkney for her birthday, another for a friend's daughter for her birthday and a couple of fridge magnets which we'd brought back from LA and Vegas for John's cousin in Norwich to add to her collection.

Hope your parcels arrive in good time Jen, how long do they estimate that the drive will take now?

Hope the light therapy will help Kaz. Bet you can't wait to see H! Xx

Saundra, did you have to mention chocolate biscuits??! :P

Have a good day all!

Ally, I give a neighbour a lift to work every Thursday and she and I this morning we saying just that - how fast time is going and that it's unbelievable that we're nearly end of the year again. Time really is flying by far to fast

Kaz, good luck with the light therapy; hope it's a huge success. When does Harry arrive - tomorrow or Saturday?
Jen, good luck with the drive - hopefully not much longer now?
Saundra, when we lived in South Africa we used to keep the red wine in the fridge as well because it was too hot otherwise :D Biscuits were a nightmare regardless of where you kept them, because of the high humidity where we lived (just outside Durban) everything went really soggy and stale within hours of opening.
Lissie, fingers crossed they can find you another appointment very soon and that you don't have to wait another three months
Jo, hope you got home dry? Won't be fun walking Billy will it? :?
Debih, did you get your contract? Is "the" deed done? Apologies if I missed it elsewhere?

Usual work day and evening home for me. Have a lovely day all xxx

We keep our bread and biscuits in the fridge too.

In the summer months I keep all my lip balms in there as well otherwise they'd be a runny sludge...as I found out when I first moved here! :o
