Morning all - sunny-ish this morning, slightly less cold than yesterday..

I was up early - I've got ANOTHER cold and sleeping/breathing through my nose is hard. So I got up about 7, my usual work time, even though it's my day off! I've got to get my boobies squashed this aftie, at Chester-le-Street hospital....could have gone to Durham but only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays - not good for me, and C-le-S is only a bit further away, with easier parking! I've already been to Asda this morning, cleaned the kitchen and the washer is doing its third load as I type.

I might get chance to pop to the out of town shopping centre on the way back from hossie - it's Jen's birthday on Tuesday next week and she has requested some skin care products from Boots. Tomorrow I am meeting my sister-in-law for a Nordic walk and a coffee afterwards, and then heading in the other direction to collect my sister from Asda - she will have a lot of shopping and she can't manage the bus. She usually gets it online and rarely asks me to pick her up so I couldn't refuse, even though my day will be hectic! The dishwasher is playing up also, has been for a couple of weeks, so I've just rung to arrange a guy to come out to take a look at it - tomorrow afternoon!! Sheesh!!

Kaz I've just seen your FB post about the light therapy!!    I hope you get some good results from it - bet you're looking forward to seeing H on Saturday xx

Hope everyone has a good day - hugs and love to everyone xxxxxx

Afternoon :)
Weather report here is that it's rather nice - not quite as cold, bright so far but beginning to cloud over.

I've been out, to the next town, still on my quest for a nice polo neck jumper...not quite successful on that front, but I did get a really nice long, sweatshirt-type top from New Look. It's got a quite high turtle neck, and was so inviting I went straight upstairs and got changed when I got home :D
Saundra we only get sun into the front bay window early afternoon, it would be nice to have it in the back garden wouldn't it.

I think I mentioned the soup mix I got from W/rose last week? - the veg and kale one was good, a huge bowlful each. They were still on offer (£1) so I also got a minestrone mix, also really good although that needs a tin of tomatoes adding.
And last night used a '6 bean mix' to make a veggie chilli - made exactly like a normal one, but with green lentils instead of meat. A big success - and enough left to make into soup for tonight :D

Hope your various days are going well

That top does sound nice and cosy Di :D
I could do with some new Winter tops, I've got to take Joe for a hospital appointment tomorrow though and Stafford's recently had a Primark and a H&M open so we'll have a look in those before we get the bus home.

Lissie I hope the eye appointment goes well xx

Gal, ditto with the mammogram xx

Ria, Mick will pick up H after college tomorrow so he won't be here until mid evening :)

The light therapy went well thanks Jo :) It is really peculiar though, as I mentioned on FB - stood on a stool "in the nip" wearing goggles and a visor, in a superannuated tanning booth, isn't how I normally spend my Thursday mornings  :P   It will be three times a week, over ten weeks, and as I only count as a 1 on their scale of how easily you tolerate sunlight before you burn, they started me off at 12 second burst which will gradually go up to 6 minutes each time 8-)

Di that top sounds nice 8-) 8-) 8-)
