That sounds like a nice night Aggers. Di and Ton and all with dodgy weather, i hope it picks up soon.

Good afternoon all. Blinking flip, it's cold here. The wind goes right through you. Taking the cat to the vet soon, the poor old sausage isn't going to like that one bit. It has to be done though, we think he's been fighting and the wound on his leg hasn't healed.

The central heating is throwing a wobbly here as well. It's on at the moment but we need the plumber out to look at it, as it sometimes comes on and sometimes doesn't. |Not what you want at this time of year!

Today might turn out to be a bit expensive!

Have a good one everybody.

Good luck with that - if anything like my cats getting the antibiotics into him will be fun :D Hope the leg heals soon

Cromwell, do you have a remote thermostat that controls the boiler - maybe it's just that that needs batteries replacing? If batteries are low then it may not be 'communicating' with the boiler as it should hence the boiler playing up? Also have you checked the pressure / water level of the boiler; is that all as it should be?

Good luck for that as well - that could be an expensive one. I've got a homecare plan with Corgi - pay £20 a month and that gives me my annual service plus any necessary call outs and repairs. Maybe something to look into?

Yes Ria, we think it's the thingy on the wall that needs looking at. We have put a new battery in it but it is only sketchily connecting to the boiler, which we may have to turn off and reset. Anyway, to the vets! (I wonder if I have some cat-proof gloves in the house?). Thanks for the good wishes.

Afternoon all! It's dull, windy and bitterly cold here. I walked down to town and back and then walked Billy so have been out in it for a good few hours - I'm chilled to the bone now!

We got back just in time - it's hammering it down :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: The pool is filling up nicely and Grumpy has even lit the fire :o

Good luck cat catching Cromwell - they always know somethings up and do a runner, don't they?

We have to have 2 new tyres on the car, so the tyres are ordered and they'll ring us tomorrow. Means we have to sit in a bar for a couple of hours, while they put them on and check alignment and other stuff 8-) 8-)

Don't they just! He's had an injection of anti-biotics and has a buster collar on to stop him licking his gammy leg. Back to the vet on Tuesday to have her check how it's going and do some blood tests.

MrsC is about to go out on the lash with some of her ex-colleagues, if the scatty one picking her up can remember where she lives!

Hi all!

Very slow laptop here lately - when my pc doctor gets back from his prolonged holidays I might get around to having it sorted....until then it's very hit and miss!

Was terribly busy at work yesterday...tbf it has been quiet for a while so was a change, but typically I was working on my own, just me and Anne, the Optom, so it was rush rush! Today's plans got called off due to me being a chicken ( ) so I ended up going out later than usual, but then I still made time for a coffee and a cake! Really must do more exercise though - I've not been Nordic walking since well before Christmas and my clothes feel really tight    Maybe Yoga tomorrow??

I had to go out and buy a new hairdrier today - mine decided to stop working mid-dry yesterday! I am amazed though, the blurb (which for some reason I still had to hand) said it was guaranteed for 3 years - except I couldn't prove this. And then I only went and found the receipt!!! So I have been emailing the company - who knows I might get something back! Worth a try at least.

It's flippin 'orrible today - so grey and dark, and freezing!! It's a biting wind, the temp on my phone app says -1 and I can well believe it! Just as well I have a lovely new long coat to wear...shall post a link (if the lappie lets me!) on t'other board. It was an absolute bargain, but I wish I could remember to check through Quidco before buying stuff

Right - broth for tea (I made too much last week so no effort required, just thawing it out of the freezer as I type )

Hope your kitty is ok Cromwell.....I wish Smudge would just come home and stop me crying all over the place

Kaz i hope you had a nice day with A - I met up with 'my' A last week after not seeing her for years! Nice times.

Have a lovely evening all xx

I did have a nice time out with A thanks Gal. It was flipping freezing though, like Jo said! We went to Cheltenham and parked in the Waitrose there and walked into town from there! Even more freezing turning out for Pilates, not long got back :)

Evening all, I'm almost comatose with tiredness, obviously still not totally through this flu  I did the supermarket shop this morning and that tired me for a start. Today was childminding day but I managed a nap while Kellie was having hers. It was a very stormy day and the wind was very cold too. Tonight I don't even have the energy to knit and will be going to bed shortly.
