Morning Ally, morning all :)

Enjoy your meal out Ally :) I've had a beautiful card and some flowers :) I've got him a card and a huge bar of fruit and nut

Looking a bit gloomy out there, yesterday was a beautiful day, almost springlike! No zumba for me, I didn't sleep that well so am giving myself the day off ;) Will still walk up and see D at lunchtime 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all and happy Valentines to you all

Ally, is Valentines day as commercial (and dare I say, over-priced, overrated and all restaurants more squished than normal) in Spain as it is here? The flower seller outside the station has just a sea of red roses and they've got two extra people working this afternoon to keep up. I didn't look at the prices today but I know in previous years they were charging an extortionate amount of money for a bunch of roses that won't last longer than a few days, if that.

Enjoy having a 'day off' Kaz - sometimes it's just needed. Have fun with D later

Usual work day for me - nothing exciting to report. Weather is so, so.... yesterday was sunny but with a rather biting wind. This morning I had to scrape the windscreen but the air felt warmer because it was wind still

have a lovely day all x

The answer is no Ria....thankfully commercialism is still a way off here.

Don buys me a red rose every Friday from Alfonsi and when he bought me one last Valentine's day night it was the same price as always.

Morning everyone

Gorgeous morning here - no wind, no rain and just a few fluffy white clouds and lots of blue sky :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

The Portuguese don't do Valentine's Day either - although a couple of local restaurants are now doing a different menu for tonight - still the same price though.

General pootling for me today, I'd like to get out in the garden, but it's still too soggy

Enjoy your day off Kaz, it's needed sometimes.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Apart from cards to each other we're postponing our special meal until later in the week as we're expecting the boys around 11ish.

Happy Valentine's Day

Good morning all! It's sunny here but that strong cold wind is still lingering.

Bill's had his walk and I've been on my crosstrainer. Joe's in college this afternoon and I'll walk Billy again. I have two weather apps on my phone and the BBC one forecasts a dry day while the Weather Channel says that there's a chance of rain this evening so I won't take a chance on him missing his second walk after dinner.

No Valentines here. We never celebrate it (or anniversaries for that matter).

Have a good day, and enjoy your day off Kaz!

We don't bother with Valentines either...it's his birthday on 13th so the mantelpiece is chocka with his cards anyway. Mind you, he did bring some flowers from Lidl in for me this evening :D :D

We'd been out with the family on Monday night for a meal to celebrate it - lovely meal and they didn't charge for his meal as he was the birthday boy! Donna had arranged for a cake to be brought out at the end, with candles and a chocolate written message on the plate - and they didn't charge for that either! They've not long taken the pub over and I think they want to make a good impression - the only downside was we waited ages for the food....but it was worth it.
