50 billion pounds seems a lot of money to hand over to the EU just to make our escape.

It is what we signed up for, and as I said in another thread, it could cost us a hell of a lot more not to pay it.

Calm heads are needed to deal with this. There is a time for playing hard-ball and a time to sit down with a nice glass of something and talk.

I am thinking that the hard-ball route will do us no good at all.
