Hi Kaz, Hi Ton, No Victor, I got lost in our non summer, and beach holiday with wooly jumpers and parkers. I've given up on my phone, i realised it just wasn't going to fix itself like I had hoped, so i've fired up the laptop this evening, first time in about 7 years. (yes, same laptop too  )

Summer here has been rubbish. the spring winds that normally stop in November carried on till Feb. We have just been in the south island for the last 2 weeks so thankfully missed most of the flooding in auckland. Our house is fine, and it looks like the recent work they have done on the creek behind us to increase the flow has really worked. The irony of all the rain, is that there was a landslide into one of the main water catchment areas so now the dam is filled of silt, so the treatment plant cant treat the water as fast, and the storage ponds are running low. Auckland now needs to conserve water, and we are missing the targets every day, so if collectively we dont do it, we will be having to boil water soon as partially treated water will be released into the network. really is a case of water water everywhere and not a drop to drink. We have had months worth of rain in 1 day, and then that for every day for 2 weeks. but it's been very localised. one suburb badly hit, and the neighbouring suburb has had no problem.

The business has been keeping me really busy too. Bit of luck I may be able to pay myself soon too.

It's been a shocker. I don't even have a hint of a tan. though, coming back from the south island, where we were in winter clothes for a week, people have been commenting that I look browner. I'm just sick of the wind and cold weather. the ocean has even been cold. I haven't been for a swim.

Hi Weka - I wondered where you were! How lovely to see you 8-)

Laptops come in handy sometimes - I've been umming and ahhing about getting a new one, decided to see what could be done with this 7+ year old one, and hey presto - £65 later I have a new built one, with Windows 10, bigger RAM, and completely cleaned up - it's whizzing about the internet now 8-) 8-) :D Saved me a bundle of cash - I'm well pleased :D
