I looked on here and thought "Oooh we've got a newbie" and saw her location and thought she must be a friend of Ton's...and then the penny dropped

Afternoon all! It's a sunny one here. Had a lovely walk with Billy first thing before going to Stafford. I picked up some Easter presents; t shirts for Tom and Joe, a t shirt for Grace and a pack of socks with cute bunnies on for Eve (I know she's 20 but still...). I also got a Yankee Candle and some chocolates for Ruth as it's her birthday next week, I can pop round with her present as well as Eve and Grace's Easter things when I get chance. Hopefully Eve will be home from uni, it's always lovely to see her :D

Thinking of Jen today xxx

Have a good day all!

That sounds like a lovely day Ally.

Yesterday we went to Selby (a small market town about 15 miles south of York) on spec to see my brother. True to form he wasn't in but we did go into the town and have lunch at a nice Italian restaurant. Then we went into the adjacent Selby Abbey. A lovely building; inside was the most beautiful Chinese girl in her wedding gown, having a wedding blessing. Apparently a couple of years ago a Chinese pop star got married in the Abbey and it is now a popular place for Chinese weddings!

We've had a busy morning shopping and now a piece of brisket is being slow cooked in the oven for dinner.

Have a great day everyone.

How lovely Cromwell! We visited the Cathedral here just after Christmas one year, when my sister was visiting, and saw a wedding going on. Absolutely amazing 8-)

Afternoon all - welcome to our 'newbie'!! :D

Coloured my hair this morning but it hasn't covered the silver roots very well this time so I aint happy :( Daren't re-do just yet in case it's too soon....thoughts?

Spent a happy-ish hour rearranging the dining room - since Jen's stuff has gone I can work around essentially a table and chairs and a sideboard  All I have done is swapped them over so one is on the wall the other one was, but it means the carpet that was always under the table now gets some wear :) Oh and sorted the rubbish in the sideboard out.....we have four, yes FOUR bottles of Baileys!! I don't even like the stuff!!!

Cloudy and cool today, we haven't got the promised sunshine and heat just yet! Popped out to get some bits and stopped and had a latte and a muffin. I'm doing my flabby bits no favours!

Kaz Jan and I are like that, work together all day and then if we meet for coffee we still gabble on non-stop!!!

Hugs and thoughts with Jen xxxx

I use Age Defy, Gal. Covers my greys perfectly, and sccording to my hairdresser I am a good 70% grey now!  :cute: It's not too soon to put another colour straight on x

Well done on the clear out, we are kind of doing a few 'Spring cleaning' type bits here. Mick has refreshed both the bathrooms (resealing the bath, whitening the grout, tarting up the paintwork etc) and I've been steam cleaning and throwing out a few old clothes - very therapeutic! :D
