We had a lovely evening out on Sunday. Joe wanted to go to Jimmy Spices buffet restaurant on Broad St in Birmingham. We'd been to the one in Sutton Coldfield (which has since closed) for Tom's 18th but Joe had been feeling awful with a cold so hardly ate anything so wanted to try it properly. The Broad St one had a zero hygiene rating a year or so ago but is apparently now back up to a five. I read the Tripadvisor reviews before booking though and managed to persuade him to think of somewhere else. Recent ones were entitled "Mediocre at best" and "Don't do it".

He decided on Nandos instead and we had a lovely meal. I always have chicken livers and peas. So nice! We then walked a few doors down to The Little Dessert Shop. This one in Wolverhampton was the first and now they're building quite a chain around the area. Hadn't been before. Would definitely go back again! I had a waffle with Nutella and chopped hazelnuts on top and two scoops of Snickers ice cream on the side. I'm not a huge fan of ice cream but this was so nice.

Because we'd spent over £20 we were given a box of cookie dough dessert, it's taunting me everytime I open the freezer.

That all sounds lovely Jo! :D :D

I get lots of Tesco money off vouchers lately, but I think it's because we only go about once ever five or six weeks. They are trying to lure us into becoming regular customers ;(
